Catalog Questions & Answers
What is an e-commerce enabled catalog?
An e-commerce enabled catalog is like a traditional printed catalog
in that it features items available only in your store or over the phone.
However, our program also includes a branded, online ecommerce fulfillment
center offering popular, commodity items available both in your store and
online. Why not use the same catalog to drive traffic to all of your sales
channels? So, even if your customers do not come into your store, they
can still buy from you, online or by phone.
I do not have personnel to spare, how much work is involved for a catalog?
That why you should "outsource" the work to us: We do most of the work for you. You
select the items you want to feature on your catalog and up to 30 items to feature
in your e-commerce fulfillment site. We then do all the work for you. We write the
stories, gather the photographs, write the product descriptions and setup your
e-commerce site. We even mail the catalogs for you to your best customers and
prospects. You would disignate one person to be our coordinator, and then we
will do as much of the work as we can for you.
What if I don't have a website?
If you do not have a website, customers can be sent directly to your online
store. However, if you are interested in building a website, iMediaCommerce offers
a complete set of website services, including design, hosting, databases and
custom programming.
What if I already have a website?
We will brand your e-commerce site with the same colors and logo elements used
on your main website. We will work with your Webmaster to cross-link to your
e-commerce fulfillment site. To customers, the result appears as a single,
cohesive whole.
How will I know when someone places an online order?
You will receive an e-mail notifying you of the order. To view order details,
process the payment, and fill the order, you must log in to your secure online
vault using your username and password.
What if I don't have a mailing list?
Don't worry. We work with national mailing list houses and all the major outdoor
magazines. We can get lists of all the prospects in your area, so you generate
more traffic and more sales.
What about postage?
Estimated postage and handling costs are built into the price of the catalog.
Postage and handling costs are typically around 25 cents per piece, but can vary
depending on the presort and the population density of the zip codes that comprise
your mailing list.
